AtlĂ©tico-MG has updated the situation of striker TomĂĄs Cuello, who suffered a serious injury in the 2 x 2 draw with BolĂvar, this Wednesday (17), for the first leg of the quarterfinals of the Conmebol South American 2025.

And, unfortunately, the news is not good at all.
According to the official statement, Cuello was taken to the hospital in La Paz and underwent imaging tests that indicated a fracture of the fibula associated with a rupture of ligaments in the left ankle.
“The athlete is already immobilized and medicated. Upon returning to Brazil, additional medical examinations will be carried out to schedule the surgical treatment”.
