The Denver Broncos made 38 roster moves in recent days as they worked their way down to a 53-man roster. Of those 38 moves, 23 players hit the NFL’s waiver wire.
The league’s transaction wire was published on Wednesday morning and two ex-Broncos players were claimed: cornerback Damarri Mathis was picked up by the Carolina Panthers (reuniting with defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero) and undrafted rookie offensive lineman Xavier Truss was claimed by the New Orleans Saints.
The list of notable players who were not claimed includes linebacker Levelle Bailey, running back Audric Estime and wide receiver Courtney Jackson.
Denver, meanwhile, was not awarded any players off the waiver wire. So it looks like the team’s initial 53-man roster could remain in place going into Week 1.
