The Costa del Sol’s much-loved choir and orchestra, Collegium Musicum, is celebrating its 50th anniversary with two special concerts this May. Music lovers are invited to enjoy an evening of live classical music in Fuengirola and Marbella as the group marks its golden milestone.
The concerts will feature Mozart’s “Great” C minor Mass and his famous Symphony No. 40. Guest soloists from Malaga, Italy, and Scotland will join the choir and orchestra to deliver a powerful and moving performance. These pieces are some of Mozart’s most dramatic and emotional works and are sure to impress both regular concertgoers and newcomers alike.
The first concert takes place on Sunday, May 25, at 20:00 in the Salon Real at the IPV Palace and Spa Hotel in Fuengirola. Tickets cost €12, and children under 16 go free. Tickets can be bought at the hotel, at Lepanto Cafe on Fuengirola’s main street, from choir members or at the door from 19:15. You can also email info@colmus.org to reserve in advance.
The second concert will be held on Tuesday, May 27, at 21:00 in the Church of the Encarnacion in Marbella’s Old Town. Entry is by donation in support of local charity Caritas Encarnacion.
