
Praised as a ‘beast on the keyboard’ by the Utah Review, pianist Sergey Belyavsky has moved and amazed audiences around the world. He is described as demonstrating ‘an extraordinary expressive intelligence’ by Bachtrack and ‘one of the best pianists in the world today’.
As a soloist, Sergey has performed in such places as Victoria Concert Hall (Geneva), Abravanel Hall (Salt Lake City), at Carnegie Hall (New York), and Bass Performance Hall (Fort Worth), among many others.
He has played with internationally renowned orchestras such as the Utah Symphony Orchestra, the Czech National Symphony Orchestra, the Swiss Romande Orchestra, the Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra, and the Hungarian Radio Symphony Orchestra.
As far as awards go, there are too many to mention here, but he has received extensive recognition after winning awards in more than thirty prestigious international piano competitions, including the Gina Bachauer Competition, the Liszt Budapest Competition, the Liszt Utrecht Competition, the Maria Canals Competition, and the Sydney International Piano Competition.
Sergey Belyavsky is playing a concert in Marbella as part of the International Piano Competition at the Teatro Ciudad de Marbella in Plaza Ramon Martinez on Saturday, March 1 at 8pm. Tickets are available at the theatre or online via mientrada.net and they cost €15.
