8M inclusive programme: empowering women with disabilities
The Institute Balear de la Dona (IBDONA) has launched a special programme for International Women’s Day, focusing particularly on the inclusion of women with disabilities. A key feature of the programme is the premiere of the documentary “A Look at Inclusive Equality”, which explores the personal stories of women with disabilities as they face the daily challenges of gender inequality. This documentary aims to raise awareness and provoke reflection on how society can become more inclusive and supportive.
In addition, “Rosa’s Bus is for Everyone”, a family-friendly performance, will be held, providing an engaging way for both children and adults to learn about the importance of equality and diversity. The event sends a clear message that true gender equality must be accessible to all women, regardless of their physical or mental abilities.
Through these activities, IBDONA aims to foster a deeper understanding of the significance of inclusion in the ongoing fight for gender equality. The goal is to ensure that women with disabilities are not left out of conversations about equal rights and opportunities.
This year’s programme not only celebrates the achievements of women throughout history but also highlights the urgent need to continue making strides towards inclusivity. IBDONA’s initiatives are vital in creating a society where gender equality is accessible to all women.
