Torre del Mar is preparing for the 13th edition of its celebrated Tapas Route, which will take place from Monday, March 10, to March 30. This culinary event is one of the Axarquia region’s most anticipated festivities.
Pérez Atencia, first deputy mayor of Vélez-Málaga and deputy mayor of Torre del Mar, highlighted the importance of the Tapas Route, pointing out its role in revitalizing local commerce during the off-season.
“The event serves as a promotional vehicle for both new and established businesses. Torre del Mar is a destination that offers its residents, locals, and visitors high-quality gastronomy, a reference point on the Costa del Sol,” he said in a press conference.
The event will see a record 28 participating establishments, an important increase from previous years. Organizers expect around 45,000 tapas to be sold at this edition, more than ever.
Cervezas Victoria has once again offered its support to the Tapas Route. As part of their contribution, Cervezas Victoria will introduce a new beer, Victoria 10, alongside their classic Victoria Pilsner. This special beer will be available for a small supplement.
As in previous editions, attendees can pick up a “passport” at participating venues, which lists the tapas available for tasting. Each tapa, along with a choice of drink, will be priced at €4. Attendees will also have the chance to vote for their favourite tapa, with the winning dish receiving special recognition.
