For the first time ever, the Algarve will host a TEDx event, which will happen this May in the coastal town of Lagos.
Under the inspiring theme “Co-Creating a Limitless Future”, TEDx Praça Gil Eanes will take place on Monday, May 12, at the Centro Cultural de Lagos (Lagos Cultural Centre). The event will run from 9:30am to 5pm, and tickets are now on sale for €55.
TEDx events are independently organised gatherings that follow the well-known TED format. They bring speakers from different walks of life to share ideas worth spreading. TED stands for Technology, Entertainment and Design, but the talks often cover everything from science and culture to innovation, community, and global issues.
The local council is organising the Lagos event in partnership with LOFT, W4M Digital Solutions, and SheSapiens Algarve. They aim to put the Algarve on the global map for ideas, innovation, and inspiration.
A call to action for the future
Organisers say this is more than just another conference, a call to action. “We are at a turning point. The Algarve is brimming with talent, innovation, and vision. This event is about sparking real change and inspiring people to build something greater together.”
