Would you be interested in helping out? Alicante is expanding the Monte Orgegia forest by 10,000 square metres.
This event will take place on Sunday, March 1, and is open to all residents and visitors who sign up through the website: alicanterenace.es
More than 2,000 trees, shrubs, and seeds of Mediterranean plants will be distributed to help further develop this green space in the heart of the city.

Around 2,000 volunteers are expected, with 65 per cent of them being children, highlighting the importance of teaching young people about environmental care.
The event will run from 10:00am to 1:00pm on Saturday, March 1, and will include a free lunch, fruits, drinks, and a guided hiking tour of the Monte Orgegia trail. Registration is required.
