Benalmadena council, has brought forward plans starting at El Bil Bil Castle to bring into full bloom the town with a variety of works being carried out so that 14,000 plants adorn the streets at the most emblematic points of the various districts.
Expect a blaze of flowery colour in Benalmadena, including Arroyo de la Miel and Benalmadena Pueblo in the run up to Holy Week. The council have stressed that they are proceeding with planting along the promenade, Malapesquera, Castillo El Bil Bil, the Sunset roundabout, as well as in main streets and avenues of the centre of Arroyo de la Miel and Benalmádena Pueblo.
Alongside these enclaves, the initiative has also been launched in different roundabouts, including those of the different entrances to the town.
These spring flowers, typical of Easter, encompass the varieties Petchoas, Alhelíes, Ageratum, Polygonum Capitatum and Scabiosas. The chosen colours are white and different shades of lilac or purple. The work will take approximately three weeks to complete.
