According to a recent report from HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto, former Alabama Crimson Tide forward Alex Reese has been waived by the Philadelphia 76ers.
Reese being waived is reportedly the Sixers’ corresponding move after the team signed forward Dominick Barlow to a two-way contract, a signing that was reported Wednesday by ESPN’s Shams Charania.
Making his NBA debut last season, Reese appeared in 14 games off Philadelphia’s bench a year ago in which the former Alabama forward averaged 5.3 points and 3.3 rebounds per game on 47.2% shooting from the field. Reese also shot 36.6% from three with Philadelphia, as well as 75% at the free throw line.
During the 2024-25 season, Reese also appeared in a game with the eventual NBA champion Oklahoma City Thunder, while also seeing time in the NBA G League.
