Former Roma attacker Justin Kluivert recently addressed his decision to leave Ajax in favor of Roma in 2018.
Kluivert, now a Bournemouth player, spoke Voetbalzone about having come to regret this decision.
“Now I’m fine because I’ve found some balance, some peace. I was on loan for many years and it’s difficult to find some peace while you move from place to place.”
“I did well in Nice, but I had an injury that kept me out for 8-9 weeks. That didn’t help me. Now I’m fine.”
“I was wrong to leave Ajax in 2018. It was too early,” he added.
“At the time I had a goal, to play for Barcelona and I thought it was the right choice, a necessary step to take. I would probably say to the young Justin now: ‘Stay in Holland, keep growing’.”
