Pizza Express is celebrating its 60th birthday this year, and for one hour only, you’ll be able to enjoy pizzas at 1965 prices.
Pizza Express celebrates 60 years with retro menu prices
On Thursday, 27 March, between 5 pm and 6 pm, Pizza Express restaurants across the UK will serve up their classic pizzas at the same prices they cost when the first branch opened in 1965.
Expect a margherita for just €0.38, an American for €0.52, La Reine for €0.57, and the American Hot for only €0.60.
“This is how we’re honouring six decades of bringing proper pizza to the UK,” said CEO Paula MacKenzie. “And what better way to do it than offering our original pizzas at their original prices—just for 60 minutes.”
How to grab a retro-price pizza
Unlike other recent promotions, such as St John’s return to 1994 prices, this nostalgic event lasts for just one hour. And no sign-ups or voucher codes are needed—just show up and be quick!
Fans of the thinner romana base should note it didn’t exist back in the Sixties, but you can still upgrade for €2.25 during the promotion.
Given the UK’s love for a good dining deal, tables are expected to go fast, much like the frenzy seen during St John’s anniversary event.
So, if you want a slice of history at a fraction of today’s prices, clear your diary for Thursday evening and head to your nearest Pizza Express—just don’t forget to check in early.
