The Las Vegas Raiders will attempt to snap their four-game losing skid against the Tennessee Titans in Week 6. Though both struggling teams are 1-4, the Titans picked up a thrilling victory in Week 5 on the back of a strong performance from rookie quarterback Cam Ward. Perhaps these are two organizations trending in opposite directions.
The Titans are also expected to receive positive news on the injury front this week. Sophomore first-round pick JC Latham is trending towards returning from a four-game absence. Latham is the Titans’ best offensive tackle, and his return would provide their offense with a boost.
The Titans had been starting Oli Udoh or John Ojukwu at right tackle in Latham’s absence. Both have struggled. Udoh and Ojukwu have given up the second-and-third-most pressures on their entire offensive line despite splitting playing time.
Latham has missed four consecutive contests after re-injuring a hip issue that first popped up at training camp. Will he be rusty? Raiders superstar EDGE Maxx Crosby will certainly possess interest in finding out.
The Titans also paid Dan Moore $82 million at left tackle. He’s occasionally struggled, though he’s improved in recent weeks. Between Moore’s uneven performances, and Latham’s potential rust, the Raiders should move Crosby around the formation and find what matchup is most advantageous.
