Glasser graduated from Tallmadge in 2018. He helped Tallmadge win the 2017 Division II baseball state championship and make a Division II state semifinal appearance in 2018.
Glasser said it was “super surreal to be back at Canal Park” last season ahead of playing against the RubberDucks.
“It is pretty special to be at Canal Park from the 2017 and 2018 teams that both won district championships here for Tallmadge,” Glasser said after taking batting practice ahead of a game on Aug. 21, 2024.

Glasser played five years of college baseball, three at Youngstown State and two at Indiana.
“We all think we can be a professional baseball player growing up and then in high school I only had one Division I offer to Youngstown State,” Glasser said on August 21, 2024. “It kind of seemed a little out of reach for most people, but I always believed in myself and I really developed there. Once I had the opportunity to go to Indiana, I knew that I was going to have a really good shot at playing professional baseball knowing how they develop players. Luckily, I put two good years together there and was able to get here.
“… It is easy to look ahead, but I try not to. I try to dominate the level you are at and take everyday like it is the biggest game and like it is your MLB debut so that you will always be prepared.”
