Chelsea are staying patient in their pursuit of Xavi Simons, with the deal still on according to Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg.
The Blues have been busy this summer and and have already made four signings in Jorrel Hato, Liam Delap, Joao Pedro and Jamie Gittens.
However, Chelsea aren’t done there, and the Blues are looking to add another two attackers to their squad for the upcoming season.

Simons is believed to want to join Chelsea, but it was reported Manchester City had entered the race earlier this week.
The longer the deal drags on the more chance there is of another club potentially hijacking the deal, but Plettenberg has provided an update.
He took to X.com and said:
“#Xavi Simons remains fully focused on an agreement between RB Leipzig and Chelsea.

Chelsea working on Garnacho
Whilst the Blues are still in negotiations for Simons, they are also pushing ahead with a deal for Argentine winger Garnacho.
Chelsea have agreed personal terms with Garnacho, and are now in conversations with Manchester United over a fee for the 21-year-old.
United are said to want £50m for Garnacho, but Chelsea are reportedly only prepared to pay £30m, and won’t simply just meet United’s demands.
