
A French woman, 31, is in critical condition in the Palma de Mallorca Son Espases Hospital after falling seven floors onto the ground from a window at the Camp Mar hotel. In Ibiza, a 19-year-old Italian tourist died after falling from the fourth floor of her hotel.
The incident occurred this Sunday at noon, according to local emergency rescue units that were notified of the accident. The woman fell into the swimming pool area and was immediately attended to by the hotel’s lifeguard. He tried to bring her back from a cardiac arrest.
First responders arrived at the scene and found the young woman lying unconscious and severely injured. They and local police officials continued the resuscitation efforts. They reported she suffered several cardiac arrests.
The unidentified French tourist fell to the ground right next to another hotel guest who was sunbathing by the swimming pool at the time. The woman slightly hit the guest, who was shocked to see the body land right next to him.
The Guardia Civil arrived at the scene of the accident and has begun investigating to clarify the circumstances of the accident. They interview the woman’s family members and witnesses. The woman reportedly arrived in Mallorca on Saturda,y accompanied by her brother and her parents.
She tried to get to her room via the balcony
The Italian tourist of Turkish origin was a guest at a hotel in San Antoni de Portmany, Ibiza. Local news reports said she fell from the fourth floor when attempting to access her room from a common area via the balcony.
Her body was located around 9:00 a.m. by an employee of the hotel. The Civil Guard has taken charge of the investigation and is working to clarify the causes behind this incident. There are no further details on the accident.
